The world is on track to see the world’s largest aluminum-plated toilet on the market in the next two to three years, but it’s going to be made of aluminum instead.
A new patent filed last week by a company called E.C. Aluminum Company aims to change that.
E.I.C.’s product is called the E.A. Aluminum E.M.T. and it promises to “unify the global aluminum industry by providing a world-class aluminum toilet.”
It’s a relatively low-cost alternative to stainless steel toilet paper, and it’s expected to ship this summer for about $4 a roll.
It uses a patented process to produce aluminum in bulk at a plant in New Mexico.
Aluminum is a material with many uses, and its value is mostly due to its ability to be used in the manufacture of things like aircraft engines.
But as a lightweight, lightweight metal, it’s also known for its high-strength, low-weight properties.
That’s why it’s become a favorite among aerospace engineers for its use in airplane engines.
A has been working on aluminum-containing toilet paper for some time, but the process for making the E-A Aluminum E-M.
A process has been around for a long time, too.
And its inventor, Scott Riggs, told Vice News that the company’s process was inspired by the aluminum found in aluminum-bearing porcelains.
The process is basically the same as that used to make the porcelain used in stainless steel toilets, and Riggs says the process is also very efficient.
But Riggs said that the EMI process is actually much more efficient.
“It’s the most efficient process I’ve ever seen,” Riggs told Vice.
“This is a process that uses as little as a kilogram of aluminum to produce a pound of aluminum.”
Riggs claims that EMI’s process uses about five percent less aluminum than stainless steel, and that it has the same durability and weight.
“I don’t see the benefit of stainless steel versus aluminum, and I don’t think I ever will,” Riggsesaid.
“The advantage to this process is that it’s less expensive.”
And unlike stainless steel and aluminum, EMI also doesn’t require any additional chemicals.
Riggs estimates that his process could save the aluminum industry around $3 billion annually.
“We have a lot of aluminum and it has a very high carbon footprint,” Rigs says.
“In the United States, we use almost three times as much aluminum as we need, and the environmental impact of aluminum is tremendous.”
Igs process could eventually replace stainless steel as the material used in many of the worlds most common toilets.
But there’s another important difference between stainless steel—a material used for many things—and aluminum.
“You don’t use aluminum to make toilet paper or anything,” R. Igs told Vice, “so we have to find a better way to make it.”
